The Role:
On a typical day you might…
- Unlock value for customers by helping them navigate the nuanced features of our platform.
- Advocate for particular customers’ needs within the Customer Success team.
- Share ideas with customers that will help them get the most value from our service.
- Write a knowledgebase article that will help customers understand how to use a setting or feature.
- Communicate with multiple stakeholders for complex projects and timelines.
- Attend a meeting of software developers to receive progress updates.
- Gather technical requirements for a project or new feature implementation.
- Collaborate with Platform Specialists to troubleshoot bugs and issues.
- Write change orders when the scope of a project changes.

- 2+ Years of experience in the field.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with managing customer accounts and understand the complexity of projects dealing with multiple stakeholders.
- Confident written and verbal communication skills with an ability to talk to customers and developers alike.
- Quick thinking to problem solve and offer solutions in tough circumstances.

The Company:

Our office is located in The Dimension Mill, a beautiful 19k sq/ft converted space, down the street from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.
Primary Responsibility:
Periodic is seeking a Front-End Developer intern to coordinate a redesign of our developer documentation. The intern will work with members of our team to design, code, and test new documentation that will guide developers as they build new systems, features, and integrations on the Periodic platform.
On a typical day you might….
- Work with our Creative Director and Head of Product to envision and design improvements to the Periodic Developer Documentation
- Use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create pixel-perfect interfaces based on mockups
- Use Postman and other API clients to test the accuracy of the documentation
Qualifications:
- Experience using CSS, JavaScript, HTML, Postman
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment is preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- An eye for design
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to own a project and hit metrics on a sprint-by-sprint basis
- Knowledge and experience in software development
Benchmarks:
The goal of this position is to improve Periodic’s developer API documentation. The benchmarks for completion will be clearly defined by internal GitLab Epics, but will essentially break down into:
- Created business requirements for new API documentation
- Created an application within the Periodic ecosystem to contain the new API documentation
- Implemented new UI based on mockups
- Translated the documentation copy into the new UI
- Tested the new API documentation
- Launched the new API documentation
